These work extremely good at the indoor range and outside , they really block out the loud sounds at a range. Very comfortable , battery life is good,as long as you shut them off when done using them, I believe they auto off after a certain time but I just do it when done shooting. Light weight , I like the design of the controls now that I am use to them but it took a few times. Yes I would purchase again. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Comfort Great, Background Hiss on All Frequency Modes Not *by W***E on August 19, 2021* I have liked Walker's muffs for many years. I purchased the 500BT model for 4 reasons - Its low profile, bluetooth connectivity to my cell phone, comfortable fit & effective NRR. It delivers on all of these except for a constant background level hiss one hears on all frequency modes - the lowest level appears to be for clear voice. I have large ears & wear glasses. The large size of the cup and the gel ear pads make for a very comfortable fit - no headaches after wearing for long periods. All controls and the 2 batteries have been moved to the head band. This enabled Walker to lower the muffs profile to minimize interference with rear long gun stocks - a big plus. There are a total of 7 control buttons on the headband which means you have to fidget to find the right one. The 3 Bluetooth related buttons are along the side edge of the headband. There are voice prompts & beeps to let you know what's changed when you press buttons. The timed automatic shut off is a nice convenience, you just have to pick the desired fixed time interval (default is 2 hours). The cups fold into the headband making for compact storage. The instruction sheet is terse and the print exceptionally small.
