Review: Brilliant! Plug n’ Play Light Organ - Very impressed with this product. It works exactly as described. Build quality is good and very intuitive to use. I am using the RCA mono cable to 1/8 jack that was included converted to a 1/4 inch connector out of my PA/mixer with the level cranked to the max. Then I have two sets of Christmas lights and a set of Christmas candlesticks connected. Lights pulse to my drum machine, keyboards, and vocals. VERY FUN! I am so glad I found this. Tried a light organ kit and that was an epic waste of time and money. Never worked. I got this product set up and working in under 5 minutes. Thanks to the genius behind this device!
Review: Horrendous Product. Don't waste your money. - *Update as of 11/29/2019* After using the product everyday for about a week, 2 years or so a day, the product completely stopped working. eTauro (the manufacturer) was totally unresponsive when tried to be reached. desertcart was useless for support in trying to contact them. I'm out my money and have a useless piece of metal. As of now I DO NOT RECOMMEND this item and if I could give it zero stars I would. The power strip serves its intended purpose, to an extent. The strip does deliver power to all 6 plugs but actually getting the lights to synchronize to the music takes a lot of patients and doesn't work that well. The instructions for the unit are extremely unclear so here is what I did to get it to work: I ordered a 3.5mm auxiliary to mono RCA cable (male to male) and plugged the auxiliary end into my computer and the RCA end into the power strip (I use a mono RCA because, from my testing, it provides a better result than using a single side of a stereo RCA cable). Next I 3 strings of Christmas lights into the F0, F1, and F2 ports and switched them into the "II" setting for "synchronized" mode. I plugged the power strip into the wall and played music from my computer. Nothing happened. The music was playing, but was music because my computer was reading the auxiliary plug, but nothing was happening with the lights. After playing around with the lights, cables, computer, power strip, etc. I figured out there is no internal sound equalizer in the power strip. This means the volume of the music source needs to be tuned per song playing into the power strip. Computer volume too low and nothing happens, Computer volume too high and all 3 light strips have a seizure in unison. I found for my desktop computer with logitech 5.1 surround sound system along with the Asus Sonos HD sound card volume level 63 seems to be about right for most songs. Tips I have if you want to try to use this unit is definitely use the auxiliary to mono RCA, the result is much more clean. Try and use a music output source that has it's own digital equalizer because the strip itself does not have one. Test and note which plugs are which frequencies because on the one I received the low and medium frequency plugs are switched (I tested this using a frequency output device plugged directly into the unit and watching each set of lights light up). If you're planning to use it for Christmas lights like me (allow people to drive up and listen in their car with a radio as well as have a speaker on a low/medium volume for guests walking by). You'll also need to get a speaker with an auxiliary input option, 3.5mm 2-way audio splitter, a male to male auxiliary cable, and of course, an audio input source. For radios you have two options, you can make it easy and use a preexisting radio station (such as 96.5 KOIT) with the main drawback of the lights don't have the option to stop flashing during commercials. Your second option is to purchase an FM transmitter and transmit your own music playlist to an open AM or FM radio frequency. The downside to the FM transmitter is the channel range as well as buying another item. I personally prefer the FM transmitter because its commercial free and you can equalize your own volume so you get the best effect possible. My final verdict: I give the unit 3 stars for many factors. First being an internal audio equalizer would step up the unit into the next level of quality. Second, the frequency ports are not true to whats listed and the instructions out right suck. Third, you really need to know what other equipment and cables you need to buy to make the unit work, it is far from plug and play. Lastly, in my opinion you have to have a lot of knowledge of electronics and how they work to set up the unit and all of the extras you need to purchase. Knowing what I know now would I buy the unit again? Probably, only because I know how to make the unit work and if I run into issues I know how to fix them. If I did not have the knowledge of electronics that I do, I would not purchase this unit again.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: I have literally tried everything i possibly could to get this dang thing to work.. it doesn’t work. what next ?**
A: Works great for me. I use a mixer to drive it connected via RCA jacked cables. The mixer I use has a USB port for music files on a thumb drive. I use it for Christmas lights with outputs on left & right channels to two separate light controllers. The variable output allows sensitivity adjustment to the light controllers and a monitor output allows me to broadcast the music over short range FM radio so cars parked to watch can listen & watch the show

**Q: Will this support an external microphone to pick up ambient music?**
A: Yes, it will with pre-amplification. Microphone signal is usually required a pre-amp to amplify its weak signal.

**Q: Will this support an external microphone to pick up ambient music?**
A: The mic needs a preamp for a line level output to the power strip's line level input.

**Q: I see that it can be bluetooth with a bluetooth adapter. what kind do i need? i am seeing a lot that are a usb plug but i don’t see a usb on device**
A: Any bluetooth receiver with a 3.5mm audio output can be used. Model FC-002 will have a USB port on the side for a bluetooth receiver to attach. If the unit does not have a USB power port, use one of the permanent power outlet to power the bluetooth receiver. Three of the six outlets are permanent power for powering the bluetooth receiver, your powered speakers, or CD player etc...

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ It works but you need an amp
*by R***C on November 4, 2022*

Wiring directly from your phone or even using the Bluetooth module is going to give you lackluster results. To fix this and get this unit working correctly, hook it up to an amplifier that takes in the sound from your phone or sound system. This will let you dial in the bass, mid, and treble that will in turn send the signal to the outlet system and work WAY better.
