I was skeptical till it arrived thinking it wouldn't support me. Yes it sits on the floor, it's a floor chair. It does arch both the legs and back. The foot pillow compensates for my height. I've dozed off in this chair almost every time I've sat down on it. The cushion is very firm and supportive and so far hasn't gone flat. Great chair well worth the cost. There are an extension part can be add at the end of sofa to fit for taller person. Good firm foam support (NOT a bean bag under any definition).But, to their credit, the company was super nice about handling the return and issued a prompt refund to my Amazon Store Card with no hassle.I have since reordered an exact replacement through another Amazon seller. Hopefully, this new one will be in the correct color (brown - shows less staining and spills if they happen).
