I can't believe how profoundly this book has impacted me! The author's voice is direct and straightforward and her revelations about the nature of our existence and the life of the soul struck me as completely accurate and has given me so much comfort and understanding about life and love and the care of the soul. (I’m a Course in Miracles student and a beginning Zen Buddhist and everything the author reveals here is congruous and compatible with my beliefs and experience, which is very reassuring somehow - I know, that’s my ego looking for corroboration!). It is as if so much general anxiety about life was all of a sudden purged from me. For my entire life I had always been wondering about such philosophical questions as where do we come from, what is the purpose of life, why is there so much evil in this world, etc. As a kid, I recall one day I prayed to God that he not let me leave this lifetime without having shown me the meaning of life, and 20 years or so later, I have finally started finding answers! I am sure Akemi was chosen by Him to be my very first medium, and I am so grateful for that. She explains so many philosophical concepts so easily in such simple terms and analogies that several times I literally got goosebumps at feeling my mind opening up. It's the best investment of my life, literally.Now, I cannot get enough of this spirituality subject; I read nothing but books on it. And how do I know all of this stuff is true? Because all books so far coincide, no contradictions. Akemi is indeed one of the gifted angels who work hard and selflessly to reach into the higher dimensions of the universe for our well-being, bringing back celestial messages of love and peace from higher beings.I recommend this book with all the enthusiasm in the world. It was well written and the use of "avatars" and game simulation were probably good tools for introducing the concept to someone. While, I've never read about this topic, what I already know to be true is contained in the pages of this book. The book offered a tremendous amount of insight into the way I think and feel. The author is very well informed and offers many scenarios and resources for learning more about why we are here. That said, the book made me anxious while reading it. I was afraid that my own peace would somehow be compromised by the author's superior knowledge and that I would have to now re-think myself. I enjoyed the book and I'm happy that the author shared her wisdom and knowledge and thinking it could compromise my own peace, is ridiculous. My advice to anyone and everyone is to read this book.
