Sexy action/adventure from, regrettably, the only Hammer / Harryhausen hook-up.Perfectly shaven, manicured, coiffured Raquel Welch (dubbed - gotta laugh!) takes on anything and everything wintry Canary Islands and post-production Pinewood - 6-ft high volcanos, stock-footage earthquakes - can throw at her for art and amore . . and prevails !Interviewed, resilient Raquel explains the fitting of her fur bikini . . Credit costume designer Carl Toms for selflessly doing the toughest job in the world on our behalf!So, 'One Million . .' - stop-motion terrors and mad-eyed warring cavemen.What a hysterical, historical hullabaloo !Gawk as Percy Herbert, in a cro-magnum mullet, plumbs levels of guttural villainy not seen again til 'I.D.'Goggle at Martine Beswick performing heated dance routines for the delectation of leering, inarticulate troglodytes . . so heated, in fact, lead hairy hero John Richardson married her !Swoon with worry as resistless Raquel is carried off to a matte nest by an airborne atrocity . .Diff between Pteranodon / Rhamphorhyncus ? You can now, but - -Thus spake Harryhausen : 'One Million . .' wasn't made for "Professors . . who probably don't go see these kinds of movies, anyway".Don't be too sure.And don't let the fact that dinosaurs and humans missed each other by about 65 million years get in the way of the refreshment. Dramatized documentary about the time where humans had still to confront giant dinosaurs. People grunted at each other, no language developed yet. Numerous fights about territory and leadership. A remarkable and beautiful Raquel Welch often intervenes to end the quarrels. Women don't do that anymore nowadays with as a result wars all over the planet !A large collection of dinosaurs not seen in any other film since.High quality blu-ray.
