I bought this item because my gaming laptop does not have a display port. This did the trick! Been using it for years and its held up wonderfully ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Does not work with all equipment *by S***E on 4 June 2025* I bought a BENFEI adapter previously and it worked brilliantly on 4K video converting HDMI from a DVR to the DisplayPort that the monitor required so, needing another I then bought this one. Strangely this one did not work at all on the monitor I wanted to use it with so, to check it was not dead I swapped it with the one I previously bought and, hey presto, it worked. I therefor suspected the monitor so I took the one I originally bought and plugged it into the other monitor and it worked. The other one had a wider flatter black box, and this one has a grey box. Obviously this one will only work with some combinations of equipment whereas the one with the black box appears to work with a wide range, if buying again I would pay the extra £3 or so for the black flat version rather than buy another one of these which were discounted.
