Its a piece of 1900's oak furniture.** A: It will strip varnish but i do not think you have varnish on the oak I think it could be french polish in which case methylated spirits on cotton wool would be an easier way to clean it. I take it that you are after that bleached look. The problem is that this stuff will hit any glue on the furniture and it will fall apart. Being methylene chloride based this is a nuclear option for stripping paint. **Q: Hi will this work on a mountain bike frame made in 2012 thanks** A: Yes should be fine. Worked brilliantly on my 1970 Lotus Europa with many, many layers of very old paint. I just had to be careful not to leave it on too long as it did start to attack the fireglass too! **Q: Will this remove epoxy based paint from grp hull?** A: I used it to remove two pack paint from a lotus GRP car body and it worked well. Just be careful not to leave it on too long as it will start to soften the epoxy which binds the GRP together. I would recommend doing a relatively small area at a time, maybe 4 square feet, and leaving it for no more than 15 minutes before scraping it off.
