The 3M products stress making sure the surface is clean. I have used 3M Command Strip items for years, but this was the first time one of them would not stick to a smooth surface. It was the vertical edge of a computer desk, about 20 years old. It looked clean, but no joy. I scrubbed it with alcohol for couple minutes and the tissue I used was very dirty; just old age and household grime that was invisible, but present never the less. I went over it twice and the Command Strip attached perfectly and still in place about 12 inches from my right hand as I type this. Review: Great clips! - These clips install easily and the strong adhesive will keep it in place. Being a Command Strip product means you can remove them or move them with no damage to the substrate. ## Features - ELECTRICAL CORD ORGANIZER: One package of the Command Clear Round Cord Clips includes 13 clear cord clips and 16 small Command Strips - DAMAGE FREE HANGING: Cord wall clips for hanging electrical cables and cords work without leaving holes, marks or sticky residue on a variety of surfaces and removes cleanly when you want to reorganize without tools - WORKS ON A VARIETY OF SMOOTH SURFACES: Cable wall clip works on a variety of smooth surfaces, including painted walls, finished wood, painted concrete cinder blocks, laminate, glass, metal and tiles - SURFACE PREP: Clean with rubbing alcohol to remove grime and dust to allow the cable clips to bond to the surface; the indoor temperature must be between 50 degrees Fahrenheit and 105 degrees Fahrenheit - USAGE TIPS: Wait seven days after painting before using the Command Cord Clips to allow paint to cure; do not hang over beds or on wallpaper; do not use the round cord holders for hanging valuable items - EASY CLEAN REMOVAL: Lightly hold the top of the removable adhesive strips and slowly pull straight down to remove the cord clips and prevent damage of walls and surfaces; reuse your clip and hardware again by purchasing small refill strips ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B076ZT3FVN | | Additional Features | Heavy Duty | | Best Sellers Rank | #1,004 in Tools & Home Improvement ( See Top 100 in Tools & Home Improvement ) #5 in Electrical Cable Staples | | Brand | Command | | Brand Name | Command | | Color | Clear | | Customer Reviews | 4.3 out of 5 stars 11,668 Reviews | | Finish Type | Polished | | Finish Types | Polished | | Global Trade Identification Number | 00638060080818 | | Included Components | 13 Clips, 16 Strips | | Item Dimensions | 9.25 x 6.5 x 2 inches | | Item Type Name | Cord Organizer | | Item Weight | 0.04 kg | | Manufacturer | 3M | | Manufacturer Part Number | CL017-13NA | | Material | Plastic | | Material Type | Plastic | | Maximum Weight Capacity | 2.5 pounds | | Maximum Weight Recommendation | 2.5 pounds | | Model Number | CL017-13NA | | Mounting Type | Wall Mount | | Number of Hooks | 13 | | Number of Items | 1 | | Product Style | 13 Clips | | Recommended Uses For Product | Organize electrical cords and cables in home and office environments | | Shape | Rectangular | | Style | 13 Clips | | Surface Recommendation | Concrete, Glass, Metal, Wood | | Theme | Christmas | | UPC | 638060080818 | | Unit Count | 13 Count | ## Product Details - **Color:** Clear - **Brand:** Command - **Material:** Plastic - **Finish Type:** Polished - **Mounting Type:** Wall Mount ## Images ![Command Clear Cord Clips, 13 Clips, 16 Strips - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71BqhbLw0NL.jpg) ## Available Options This product comes in different **Size** options. ## Questions & Answers **Q: Would these work to attach a standard cable coax cord to baseboard?** A: Thank you for asking. These are great for standard round cords! **Q: What size replacement tape would fit these? I would think the small or medium but not sure which it better?** A: These clips can be reused with Command™ Small Clear Strips. Thanks for asking! **Q: What is the difference between the indoor and the outdoor version?** A: I'm not sure of the difference, but I can tell you that we used the outdoor clips to hold up 40 feet of LED icicle lights on to the gutters, and they worked flawlessly through our Wisconsin winter, with snow, sleet, ice and -15 degrees. This has been the only product that's made a whole winter. I'm hoping for two seasons! **Q: Will the medium size accommodate a Kitchen Aid mixer cord?** A: Hello - Thank you for asking. There should be enough space for you to bundle this size cord. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Using it right now, all is good. *by N***E on October 12, 2023* Works fine but just a little sidebar story. The 3M products stress making sure the surface is clean. I have used 3M Command Strip items for years, but this was the first time one of them would not stick to a smooth surface. Being a Command Strip product means you can remove them or move them with no damage to the substrate. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Worked for what I wanted. *by P***S on August 10, 2026* Pretty good. Did the job I asked of it - helps me keep an extension cord out of the way. The cord had some “memory” to it which made one of the clips pop off but it was the paint/plaster that failed & not the sticker. I guess I can’t complain about that. I spaced mine about a foot apart but if your cord isn’t wavy like mine you could probably go farther. I let the command strips cure on the wall unused 24 hours before putting anything on them. I do that for all command strips and 95% of mine last years (don’t know how many - more than ten for some). ## Frequently Bought Together - Command Round Cord Clips, Damage Free Hanging Cable Clips, No Tools Wall Clips for Hanging Electrical Cables, 13 Clear Cord Clips and 16 Command Strips - Command Cord Bundlers, Damage Free Hanging Cord Organizer, No Tools Cord Bundler for Hanging Electrical Cables, 6 Gray Cord Bundlers and 12 Command Strips - Command Large Picture Hanging Strips, White, Holds up to 16 lbs, 14-Pairs, Easy to Open Packaging --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.co/products/52118092-command-clear-cord-clips-13-clips-16-strips](https://www.desertcart.co/products/52118092-command-clear-cord-clips-13-clips-16-strips) --- *Product available on Desertcart Colombia* *Store origin: CO* *Last updated: 2026-10-13*
