A: No.  The machine and capsules do all the work.  Excellent foam!

**Q: its the machine 220 volts?**
A: no, it's just the regular voltage from your house or where ever.   I think it's 120?   Just for the record, I LOVE my Nespresso!!!

**Q: Is this a vertuo or an evoluo?  the product title says vertuo but the model name says evoluo**
A: I use vertuo  pods, that's what fit in brewing chamber .

**Q: What brand capsules are available? i see that there are a lot for the original line. can i buy starbucks ones?**
A: Starbucks now makes the Vertuo pods for this Nespresso machine. I was at my friends over the weekend and we were both surprised to see the Starbucks pods at Target while shopping.

I have only had my Nespresso coffee maker for 8 days but so far I can’t say enough good things about it. So far the only negative thing I can say about it is: it is expensive and so are the pods, however, that stacked against the convenience of having a perfect cup of coffee with very little fuss or mess is, at least for me, worth the trade off. I’m a recent widow and I love my coffee but I can no longer drink it all day or even many times a day and I am very particular about what I want in a cup of coffee so this machine makes sense for me particularly in this time of my life.
