Throughout the century, this color palette has evolved, but the core of its manufacturing remains unchanged. A gentle Sennelier pastel is made from pure, high-quality pigments, ground with a transparent natural binder. The high-quality composition of the pastels results from a perfect balance between binder and pigment. In the grades, increasing amounts of fine minerals are added, which eventually tend to white. Its exceptional shine is the pigment and natural minerals discovered by Sennelier in 1905 and used ever since. Sennelier pastel manufacturing process cylindrical does not press the dough and the pastel dries naturally in the air. The life of a work of art is ensured by the quality of the pastel, but also by that of the base. For strong overlaps, it is best to fix between layers. However, avoid fixing the last layer too much, as the original vibration of the tones would be lost. ## Features - These highly pigmented oil pastels work on a variety of surfaces including canvas, paper, metal, wood, stone, and even glass - Create multi-media effects over oil, acrylic, pastel, or watercolor - This 7.25x15.25 inch package contains 80 assorted half pastels - Acid free - Imported. ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | Age Range Description | Adult | | Asin | B0006IK27C | | Best Sellers Rank | 391,794 in Home & Kitchen (See Top 100 in Home & Kitchen) 219 in Drawing Media/Pastels | | Body Shape | Cylindrical | | Brand Name | Sennelier | | Colour | multicolor | | Customer Reviews | 4.7 4.7 out of 5 stars (242) 4.7 out of 5 stars | | Drill Point | Chisel | | Grip Type | Ribbed | | Hardness | HB | | Included Components | 80 Assorted Pastries | | Ink Base | Oil | | Ink Colour | Multicolor | | Is The Product Left Or Right Handed | Ambidextrous | | Item Dimensions | 39 x 18.9 x 3.6 centimetres | | Item Type Name | PASTELS SOFT HALF ST 80/PKG | | Item Weight | 250 Grams | | Line Size | 0.5 Millimeters | | Manufacturer | SAVOIR-FAIRE | | Material Type | Glass | | Model Name | 10-132233 | | Model Number | N132233.. | | Pattern | Pastel Set | | Recommended Uses For Product | Drawing, Sketching, Artistic Activities | | Special Features | Quick Drying | | Theme | Contemporary | | Unit Count | 80.0 count | | Water Resistance Level | Not Water Resistant | | Writing Instrument Form | Pastel Stick | | Writing Technique | oil pastel | ## Product Details - **Age range (description):** Adult - **Brand:** Sennelier - **Colour:** multicolor - **Ink colour:** Multicolor - **Material:** Glass - **Model name:** 10-132233 - **Point type:** Chisel - **Special feature:** Quick Drying - **Unit count:** 80.0 count - **Writing instrument form:** Pastel Stick ## Images ![Sennelier Soft Half ST PKG, 80 Pack (1 Piece) - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/91gnkso+00L.jpg) ![Sennelier Soft Half ST PKG, 80 Pack (1 Piece) - Image 2](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71QbPOm2g1L.jpg) ![Sennelier Soft Half ST PKG, 80 Pack (1 Piece) - Image 3](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/911OnrxkQyL.jpg) ![Sennelier Soft Half ST PKG, 80 Pack (1 Piece) - Image 4](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/91xcPfvJ8qL.jpg) ## Available Options This product comes in different **Colour Name, Pattern Name, Size Name** options. ## Questions & Answers **Q: Why are the darker colors like deep blue, evergreen and others less soft and buttery? When using they don't lay down smooth, scratch even??** A: Some pigments are softer (finer particle size) than others. Sennelier does not add talc to equalize the textures, because that would dull the colors. **Q: What’s the size of this half stick? Thanks** A: 1 1/4" long. Easy size to work with. I love these. **Q: What are the specific colors to the 80 piece set?** A: If you look at the box, it looks like all the colors are there. **Q: Are these oil pastels or soft pastels?** A: These are soft pastels. But they also have oil ones ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A beautiful quality set - an impressive gift *by on Reviewed in the United Kingdom 16 April 2022* A comprehensive set of pastels, bought as a gift -poked impressive and i have been told they are wonderful pastels ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Five Stars *by on Reviewed in the United Kingdom 2 June 2018* Excellent choice, with a very comprehensive range of colours. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Excellent quality, good range for starters *by on Reviewed in the United Kingdom 9 May 2022* Nothing to dislike, these are artist quality like other Sennelier products ## Frequently Bought Together - Savoir-Faire Sennelier Soft Pastels Half Stick Set 80/Pkg - Uart Sanded Pastel Art Paper, Off-White, Mulitple Sizes and Grits, 10 Sheet Packs (Grade 400, 9" x 12") - STABILO Chalk-Pastel Artist Colored Pencil CarbOthello ARTY Tin Set of 60, Eraser, Sharpener, Blender - Watercolor Effects --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.co/products/51225153-sennelier-soft-half-st-pkg-80-pack-1-piece](https://www.desertcart.co/products/51225153-sennelier-soft-half-st-pkg-80-pack-1-piece) --- *Product available on Desertcart Colombia* *Store origin: CO* *Last updated: 2026-10-24*
