Well what if you based a story around him and set it in Japan. How does a god that requires belief to survive, do so when nobody can retain their memories of him? I marathon bought and read all the books in this series to date after watching the anime. This is not something that I normally do so this series occupies a special place in that regard. It does that thing that I like of mixing the mundane nature of the normal world with the other-worldliness of the other. Readers of Neil Gaiman's work or fans of the Bakamonogatari series will know that vibe. I say give it a shot.
