I'm now able to ride with more confidence and in less pain because these keep my foot positioned exactly where I need it and allow me easy and immediate release when the need arises. The only issue I have had in the past was when I was ordering these. There seems to be a common issue with determining the proper size since they are offered in two different sizes. After much research and reading a lot of reviews I determined I should have a small to a medium for a size 9½ shoe. When I received them and installed them I could tell they were way too small. I returned those and picked up a large-extra large and they are perfect for a size 9 and larger shoe. The photos are of a size 10 cycling shoe and the extra large toe clip. You should be able to see from the underside of the shoe that the predetermined location of where a clipless pedal could be attached, that it aligns almost perfectly with the center of the pedal. For me this works out perfect. The installation of these could not be simpler or easier. I have put many miles on these and have never had an issue. The plumb line KOP (knee over pedal) is old school and now incorrect as more nuanced fitting has evolved. Again I'm not saying your bike fits because you can pedal seated no hands, I'm saying your saddle is centered. Now is your knee is the correct position when your saddle centered? That is determined by if your bought the correct size bike frame. That's where going to a good bike shop and perhaps a bike fitter before laying out $5000 is helpful. But most folks outsmart themselves and do it commando. $5k later they leave watts on the bench because of poor bike fit. Proper fit = optimal output.
