Fantastic water clearing.
I've never used this type of product before, despite having thought about it for many years. Why did I waste those years! This stuff is amazing, the water just beads and runs away under the air pressure of moving forward, most effective over 30mph. Been out today in the rain and only flick wiped the windscreen twice, no need for contanst wiping. Much to my delight, when arriving at my destination, the windscreen was as clean as when I set off, even with having been past lorries throwing up a lot of dirty spray. As with most things, preparation is everything, prep'd windscreen with glass cleaner, then used the G4, then the G5, as per the instructions. results are stunning, go buy some!

Best water repellent for glass windows
Great product and easy to use

Great stuff and easier to buff off than other products..
I bought this stuff along with some of the G4 Glass Nano Polish Gtechniq G4 Glass Nano Polish 100ml . The G4 polish preps the glass by getting rid of any residues before applying the rain-repellent coating really well. So, if you're putting this onto an older car (or even if you're not!) I would recommend using G4 polish before applying the G3 Nano Sealant Gtechniq G3 ClearVision Glass Coat . The G3 sealant itself goes on really easily. I found a folded paper kitchen towel to be the best thing. You need to apply this product as thin as you can while still getting total coverage otherwise the buffing job is going to need a lot of elbow grease! Apply the product nice and thin, allow it to dry to a haze and buff off (I use a microfibre buffing cloth) and it produces a smear-free finish fairly easily. The G3 buffs to a smearless finish a LOT easier than other rain-repellent products, such as Rain-X, that I've used before. Those products are almost like trying to get petroleum jelly off the glass, G3 is nothing like that. On the road the product performs as expected. Above 35-40mph rain just blows off the glass (and the side-windows if you do those too). There really is hardly any need to use the wipers except at very low (maneuvering) speeds. Even in heavy rain the water just beads up and runs off the screen very nicely. Another plus point is that in the summer it's easier to wash the bug splats off the screen and, in the winter, the frost doesn't stick quite so hard to the screen saving vital minutes scraping the glass each morning. Not so good, although this can be said of any rain-repellent product, is if you do use the wipers in the rain you get a momentary 'hazing' effect of the water which can degrade visibility a little but not dangerously so. Also, as product protection breaks down the wipers clear the screen unevenly making it harder to see. Therefore, if you do use these products, it's really important to top up the protection to keep the coating even. In terms of longevity, the product protection lasts reasonably well - several months I'd say. But, the more you use the wipers the shorter that time will be. So, if there's a lot of dirty spray and salt about (sadly you need washers and wipers to get rid of dirty, gritty stuff still) you'll be topping up your protection every 4-8 weeks depending on the mileage you do. Overall this is one of the best rain-repellent products out there and I would certainly buy it again. It only comes in a dinky little bottle, but you use very, very little each time you treat the glass that I'm sure one bottle will last several years.

Amazing product
Amazing product will be buying again the water falls from screen even on motorway windscreen wipers were not needed bought as our wipers were dodgy and wanted reassurance to be able to pull over on motorway in rain if they failed and this product gives you that reassurance 5 star

Very little needed and lasts for a long time, even on a windows that takes the brunt of the weather
Very repellent and having put it on a few window pains in additional to my original requirement, even though I did no prep and used the leftovers on my cloth, 9 months on and that window still shows the repellent properties. Repellent on glass though may not be that useful as during the daytime, water beads on the glass can make it more difficult to see out (as the beads create bright spots) compared to a normal smear, but the same window at night then becomes far clearer than the smeary version. I think my bottle will last years give how little you need!

Good soup.
Genuinely Fantastic coating for windows and I'd say you get around 5-10 application depending on how liberal you are at applying it. Only given 4 stars due to the application process not being as easy as some competitors but in my opinion provides a much better coating. Items needed: 1x applicator pad (microfiber or foam) 1x microfibre cloth Instructions are: Clean windows thoroughly and dry Apply with applicator pad and when hazing buff off with microfibre cloth. The closest I can compare this to is a true ceramic coating it behaves very similar and provides about 80% of the effectiveness however longevity resembles something more like a synthetic wax on paint and maybe comparable performance to be honest which is not a bad thing. Caution applying it near rubbers as it will stain them. ....good soup....

Use as directed
Easy to apply, used Gtechniq glass cleaner first and applied as directed. Seems to work very well, certainly better than Rain X.

Easy to use and lasts.
Easy to apply, works as well as Rain X however lasts a lot longer. Saw a review and decided to try it. For the price it's a no brainer. I saw comments that it was difficult to remove however I did mine on a cloudy day with temps in the low 60s. I used a new microfiber cloth from Costco to remove and had no issues. Follow the instructions to shake well and use a small amount and wait the 15 minutes before buffing.

Works for much longer than Rain-X
The hydrophobic properties of this is really good. I would say its equal to Rain-x when its brand new. Expect Rain-x doesnt last for nearly as long. Ive done several washes on my vehicle as well as using wipe fluid every once in a while and it is still working really well now since about 4 months ago. Rain-x you start to notice its weakening significantly in just a couple weeks. The main downside ive noticed is after applying it takes a LOT of elbow grease to fully buff it in. I kept going and going and could still see a haze, took about 15 minutes and a sore shoulder to get it done. Maybe I needed to apply it thinner, but either way Im getting a polishing wheel attachment for my drill for next time.

Water repels instantly, does leave oily layer on windshield though.
I switched to this from Aquapel (because they were out of stock). I will say that this product definitely does a great job of repelling water. I put it on and a few days later drove through an intense thunderstorm. Didn’t even have my wipers on. BUT. It seems to have left an oily residue on my windshield that I can’t seem to buff out or clean. Maybe that’s apart of the product, and I just need to deal with it? Maybe I put too much on? Can’t tell ya. But as for the water repelling… yes… thing works wonders.

Pretty easy to apply just needs another step
This stuff is a very good product. I about a month in and so far it works very well. I have an issue with my new peterbilt 579 where a cyclone develops on the drivers side window when its raining pretty heavy so it makes it hard to see the mirror which in my line of work is super dangerous. So far though it’s working wonders. Is this as easy to put on as RainX….id say it’s about the same. It’s like applying a wax to your windows where as rainX is either a spray or the wipes. I will say the instructions on this though need a bit of work because they say to avoid water for 2 hrs after application but they should add an extra step like RainX does….like applying water to your microfiber cloth then going over the window again AFTER the 2 hours to wipe off the haze left behind. I would say follow the instructions but do this extra step afterwards. I also applied this stuff to my moms Subaru and shes been pretty happy with is especially since rain in the Midwest is pretty much all over the map.
