It may seem expensive, but having a stable shoulder rest is essential to getting proper posture. My old, wobbly rest had me gripping the neck of my violin in fear that it would give way, but now I am free to relax and focus on the music.

**Q: How is the padding?**
A: padding is nice. This is top brand that is recommended and used by many.  Very happy with this violin shoulder rest.

**Q: How is this different from the Kun Original for 1/2 & 3/4 violins (this one is $12 cheaper but they look exactly the same)?**
A: It's cheaper because it's made for smaller violins, 4/4 being the standard size.

**Q: Does this fit a 15"?**
A: No, the largest viola this will fit is a 14". You'll need a viola shoulder rest for anything larger than 14"

**Q: Does this rest pivot to adjust to your collar bone?**
A: Yes, this model does have a slight pivot on both end members.
