The firm still uses a metal top which is in gold and red and has a red branded label round the lid, (the top was very tight so it took a little time to open it) and the 4711 is on top of the lid.4711 is a traditional German Eau de Cologne by Maurer & Wirtz which has been around for 222 years, the firm has a large range that also includes deodorant, aftershave and soap. :-)It uses essential oils and has an aromatheraputic effect.The top notes are orange oil, peach, basil, bergamot and lemon. Its middle notes are cyclamen, lily, melon, jasmine and bulgarian rose.
