I was a bit dubious as they looked so small in the packet, but that is actually why they worked so well. I used the larger one on a decent sized tick and at first thought the notch was too small to even fit the tick, but it was not. It got under the tick and as I rotated it between my thumb and finger it seemed to slide further under it. The size made it easy to rotate and keep control quite easily. The tick came out easily with it's mouth and legs intact so the risk of infection was minimised. The dog was not even slightly distressed, I just wish I had had the foresight to video it for this review! I would just add, it's been a very long time since I last dealt with a tick, and I have to say, it was impressively easy. There seems to be conflicting advice out there about pulling a tick straight up, twisting clockwise etc - I just did what the instructions said and it worked. Main thing is getting the whole thing out without squeezing the tick, to prevent disease and infection. I also gave the site a quick spray with Leucillin antiseptic spray - no issues at all since removal, so I am very happy to recommend these. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A must have item for anyone with a dog *by on Reviewed in the United Kingdom 1 June 2015* Bought this a month or so back after an awkward tick removal with tweezers from my doggy. Excellent value for money with two removers and instructions all delivered for less than a fiver. Came through really quick in with the normal mail. Finally got to try it out a couple of days ago when a relatives dog that was visiting picked up a tick above her eye whilst out on a walk. Used the larger of the two removers and with a swift position and turn the blighter was out all intact. Really easy and much more pleasant for the dog than the tweezers route and no worries that all the tick is removed. Only issue I had was the tick was out so quickly I dropped it on the grass. Luckily we found it and disposed of it, i'll be more prepared next time. My relatives were so impressed they took down the details of the O'tom Tick Twister to get themselves a set asap.
