**Q: is this clear? can I varnish over it?**
A: The product is not clear. There's no way I would varnish over it. Looks to good as it is. I've had teak outside furniture for 25 years. This is the best I've found.

**Q: Can/should you apply polyurethane after applying the teak sealer to a teak bench?**
A: Star brite does not suggest or recommend using any type of varnish or polyurethane over Teak Sealer

**Q: Is this effective for a teak shower floor? Does it stand up to soap exposure found in a shower?**
A: Yes, it will stand up to high traffic and water much longer than teak oil. Best of all, it is easy to refresh as needed without having to refinish completely. PRO TIP: If using on a teak shower floor, apply outdoors because this product needs UV exposure to cure properly for best results. Once cured, you can put it back in the shower.

**Q: Can you use  Varnish or polyurethane over this product**
A: No, you would not want to apply a varnish or polyurethane over this.  This is meant to be the final coating over bare wood.
