We let it set up for about 6 hours, not fully knowing what consistency we were aiming for. If you set the expectations right, it works for what we used it for. Definitely take note on the disposal notes. This stuff will stay for about a month if left out in the sun. Didn't dye anyone any weird colors, but again, that's the plus to it not being real Jello.
