I tried to grate fresh ginger on it and it got stuck miserably! I spent considerable amount of water and time to clean ginger threads from it. For that price it should grate toughest fruit/vegetable. I won’t recommend this to anyone. I should have just bought one from IKEA for 6 dollars.

I bought it for brand. Negative reviews were mostly about sharpness of the product so I didn’t mind. It is pretty big tower grater. I tried to grate fresh ginger on it and it got stuck miserably! I spent considerable amount of water and time to clean ginger threads from it. For that price it should grate toughest fruit/vegetable. I won’t recommend this to anyone. I should have just bought one from IKEA for 6 dollars.

Yes, it's sharp, but the design is so stable that I have not had accidents with it. Found myself using it way more often than I expected.
