From what I can figure out, the USA has a different Greenworks 40v platform and my Canadian bought batteries do not fit it. This tool seems to be manufactured for the American market, I could spend a couple hundred bucks to buy the proper battery and charger, (GW Elite or G-Max I think) but that would negate any savings.
