To prepare myself for the installation I cleaned my area off with alcohol and used cotton swabs (didn't use paper towels because I didn't want any paper towel reside left after). Usually I'll remove any adhesive things like this comes with and use my own 3M tape but I actually didn't have to do that here. To make your adhesive stronger, I'd use something like a hair dryer or in my case a heat gun. Doesn't even need to be set on high, you just need to heat up the adhesive on these covers. I also didn't immediately drive off after I installed these. I gave it about 2 hours before I drove off on the street. The next day I took a ride on the highway. These covers DO NOT feel cheap and they line up perfectly on my 2018 Honda Civic EX Hatchback.
