**Q: Can i use any 5 gal water jug or does it have to be a Primo jug**
A: As long as the cap from the machine fit the jug. When buy the dispenser, the directions will answer that question for you. Two of my 5 gal jugs are not primo.

**Q: Can i plug this into a normal wall outlet or does it need gfci outlet?**
A: Normal  wall outlet

**Q: How much electricity does this unit use per day?**
A: don't really know.  Not a significant change in my electric bill though,

**Q: Is there a night light on the unit?**
A: Yes, this unit has a night light.

I like that this cooler is bottom load and lets you know when the bottle is empty. It is compact and fits perfectly in my kitchen. I would definitely recommend this product, the price is right and you won't be disappointed.
