Review: It's just like the one that I took out.... - I bought this to replace an identical one in the bilge of our sailboat. It went into place with no problems. There's a flat spot on the bottom for you to apply your 3M 5200 adhesive, which is how my old one was attached. I cleaned the bilge really well, applied the adhesive, and put something heavy on top of the switch case. When I returned the next day, I hooked up the wires (easy) and it started right up. Unlike my old one, it shut down when the bilge level was drawn down to about a half-inch. Perfect. As boat maintenance goes, this was really simple, and I don't have to worry about a continually-running bilge pump bricking my battery. I think the original was a mercury switch it had to go.
