I have mine setup on hardwood floor and as long as the weight is relatively centered, it doesn't budge. If you try to do something like ring face pulls or anything on rings that would pull the center of gravity off, you'll need a solution to keeping the base from tipping. I watched a youtube video for the instructions and it was a pretty simple build, I'd have liked some longer bolts with washers and an included wrench would have been nice but it was no real issue. You can adjust this thing so tall man, I'm 6' and with it fully extended I can hang straight down with a good degree of clearance from the floor. There is absolutely 0 movement or swaying or anything if I am doing pull ups/ring dips/ring push ups/hanging leg raises/anything centered. My only complaint really is the bolts, they cheap out on you with shorter bolts and no washers.
