VELUX App Control (KIG 300 EU) for electric and solar roof windows, blinds, and shutters (compatible only with 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi)

Don't usually write reviews. But this is so easy and simple to set up and works perfectly. Worth every penny if you have a few windows

Followed the instructions to get this control to copy the configuration from my existing remotes and it worked first time. I was able to immediately find it in Home Assistant and also Alexa picked up on their presence. In HA I did need to set up a helper group so I could control three windows and shades with a single command. I assume that Alexa or Velux's own app allows something similar. Has worked well since I got it and whilst it seems a little expensive for what it is, normally a way to use a smart phone to control the windows/blinds as the only available option it isn't too bad.

Love this, just easy to setup and it works. But not with Alexa. Having to use google assistant or HomeKit. It’s amazons fault for not having a skill setup for window devices. Which is rubbish.

Works as it shouldNo issues with setup and so pleased I invested in this tech for my velux windows I have 3 roof windows upstairs and now I can open & close with windows & blinds from anywhere using my Apple home app. I have set the blinds to auto open at 7am during the week & 9:30 at weekends. They auto close at sunset 👌 I have eve room sensors connected to my Apple home and have set the windows to open if the rooms reach a certain temperature and close if the temperature drops too low Definitely recommend

Why did you choose this product over others?: Downloaded the app, unpacked the kit, plugged it in, followed the simple instructions to register the windows and remotes and everything was up and running in about 10 minutes. The windows were then picked up by Home Assistant and, five minutes later, we were controlling all the windows, installed over a decade plus, through our phones. Dead easy and totally reliable. Marvellous!!

I'm two months in to owning this and it hasn't failed yet, - so far so good. The device controls my Velux Solar Blinds in the loft, which are connected to a 5GHz access point network. In order to setup the system I had to put the device closer to my router as you need a 2.4GHz router. That being said, setup was very easy once I connected the device to the router rather than access points. My alternative was electric blinds which would have cost 5x the amount of this setup, so fantastic value for money all things considered.

Issue connecting it to Internet. Works only with 2.4, set my phone on 2.4 but still doesn't recognise. Used one of other phone on 2.4 and used it's WiFi hotspot and connection was established. But I have to use the same method to operate this, and doesn't connect direct, and hence left it unused.

De integratie van de diverse Velux besturingen/knoppen in deze app controler is fantastisch. Het werkt en de app is goed uitgedacht. Gebruik het voor dakraam en verduistering.

Habe mir ein Elektrisches Velux Dachfenster was mit einer Fernbedienung, einem Regensensor und einem Sonnensensor versehen ist. Leider fehlte für ein Perfektes Fenster dieser kleine Artikel, der das Dachfenster nun perfekt macht. Wie zu erwarten von Velux, ist die Steuereinheit in einer sehr guten Qualität. Alles Funktioniert einwandfrei und ist leicht einzurichten.

Ho acquistato questo VELUX App Control per gestire da remoto una finestra elettrica e una tapparella solare. Cercavo un modo per aprire/chiudere tutto anche quando non sono presente, soprattutto per arieggiare e regolare la luce in modo più intelligente. L’installazione è stata più semplice del previsto: basta collegare il gateway alla corrente, connetterlo alla rete Wi‑Fi 2.4 GHz (aggiornamento automatico) e seguire la procedura sull’app VELUX. In meno di dieci minuti avevo già tutto configurato. Il dispositivo è compatto, leggero e si integra bene senza occupare spazio inutile. Può inoltre essere posizionato anche mediamente lontano dai dispositivi. L’app funziona bene: l’apertura e la chiusura delle finestre risponde rapidamente, anche da fuori casa, e il controllo vocale è un plus comodo. Ho apprezzato anche la possibilità di gestire più prodotti VELUX con un solo gateway, senza dover acquistare altri moduli. Unico limite: se la rete Wi‑Fi non è stabile o se si usa solo la banda 5 GHz, la configurazione può dare qualche problema. Inoltre, rispetto alla versione “ACTIVE with Netatmo”, qui non ci sono automazioni climatiche avanzate, ma per il controllo manuale è perfetto.

Funciona muy bien. Persianas conectadas para manejarlas con el móvil. Fácil de conectar. La aplicación es sencilla y con muchas opciones de programación

La passerelle Velux est vraiment au top. Acheté pour domotiser mes volets roulants Velux solaire. On peut brancher la passerelle n'importe où dans la maison et la connecter au Wifi. Une fois l'application installée sur le téléphone on couple nos télécommandes à l'appli et hop on peut contrôler fermeture, ouverture, ou pourcentage de descente/montée. Programmation possible au crépuscule/ aube ou programme horaire. Possible de piloter à distance (genre on est au boulot et on a oublié d'ouvrir les volets en partant le matin). Dans les paramètres on peut aussi voir le niveau de charge de la batterie de nos volets. Et un mode ultra silencieux est disponible pour le volet et celui ci descend ou monte plus doucement pour faire encore moins de bruit 😉 Le gros plus !!! Compatible avec mes Google home donc pilotage à la voix ^^ Ok google ferme volets chambre Ok goole ferme les volets de toute les chambres. Vraiment au top et très simple d'utilisation Je recommande fortement cette passerelle
