Both will convert existing embroidery files to JEF format. When you insert a USB thumb drive and select USB tab on the machines touchscreen, it automatically creates a folder named EMB. In the folder is another folder labeled EMBT. Store your .JEF embroidery files in the EMBT folder. After you have put your file from your computer in the correct folder, Insert USB: Select USB. Select EMB then use the lower left and right arrows to scroll to your file. My machine came with software that reads embroidery files. Sadly the disk was not in the box. I had to request it. It has 50,000 embroidery files. Anything you can imagine is on that disk. Buyer Beware ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Solid Quality Machine *by S***F on 4 May 2022* Machine is well made; it runs fast and quiet. I agree with some of the reviews if you need to learn CNC embroidery this may not be for you. Start with something less expensive but I would recommend Janome. This purchase to replace my wife's MC300E so she was up and running in just a few minutes. So far, no problems at all and the extras are a big plus. Don't forget a CF card readier if you have older designs you want to use with this machine.
