Fit the pad on one side of the inside detent over the ladder end and use the screwdriver to expand pad and staighten it on the ladder. Having done this, simply tap it on and into place.

This product is original brand Werner. It fit my 24 foot ladder perfectly. Installation is easy with the help of a screwdriver.
