The top blade covers are smooth as silk. Makes me want to go shave just talking about it. I won't waste your time telling you how to use this razor, it's pretty easy to figure it out on your own, but it is a different kind of experience. My advise would be to take it slow and let the razor do the work. In other words, don't use much force on it. Just let it glide and do it's thing. I haven't had any issues with it yet, but I know this thing can, and will, HURT you if not used properly. Get top quality blades.
