I decided to look for a guard after dragging the ladder out for the fifth spring in a row. I started to buy the cheaper mesh models until I saw a picture of an actual install where it looked a crushed mess. Like someone had installed it after a fight with their wife. I decided to buy this model because it looked sturdier and it is. It was easy to install, heavy enough it won’t blow out with a small amount of sidewall pressure, and since it’s stainless steel it shouldn’t rust in the gutter. It arrived in a well designed box that protected it from being bent in transit. I don’t normally leave reviews but I felt this one deserved it. Ordering the wrong size must be an issue for some people because they emailed me to confirm the sizing. I had pre measured the opening while cleaning out the starling nest, 2.625”. I had to slightly bend the tips for a snug fit.
