I was skeptical about buying a part that wasn’t genuine Dyson, I have an old Dyson animal model, and wasn’t sure that the part would fit. But it fits perfectly and it does an amazing job! The light really helps see those little bits on the laminates (I have a cat and a dog) so it helps see all the little hairs, it sucks up everything that’s left on your floor better than my genuine Dyson parts. I would definitely be ordering from this company again!

A: No this is only suitable for hard or laminate surfaces, for carpets you need the brush roller.

It works as intended and the light does show up any dirt on the floor, but was hoping it would work on my low pile carpets so i would not have to change brush heads. It does not work on carpets at all, it just stops the roller and think it could damage the motor so do not recommend trying it.
