Pretty easy to cut for something so sturdy. And probably better to cut before putting the wires in and on some cardboard to avoid cutting flooring. **Q: Can these be used outside and will they stand temperatures up to 104f ?** A: I use mine outside. I use it in winter, but it’s pretty thick, so I would assume it would be fine in 104 degrees. **Q: Where is it made?** A: I'm not sure where it was made. I usually lean towards USA. I'm happy with the product. It's in our church. **Q: Is it heavy enough to hold down a 1/2 inch vinyl irrigation tube that came coiled and needs to lay flat?** A: The cable cover is fairly heavy. My ignorant builder (as many seem to be) put the electrical outlet on my porch so that if I wanted to plug in Christmas lights etc. the cord would have to cross the walkway where delivery people and visitors walk. I didn't want anyone to get hurt, so I have done without outdoor holiday lights for 20 years. I saw this and the great reviews. I was able to order a 25 foot outdoor cord with surge protector strip at the end. I plugged it in to the outlet than ran along the wall, across the front door and down the other side. When I put this protector over it, it made the cord lie neatly against the foot of the wall. No danger of tripping. The yellow stripe makes it very noticeable to anyone approaching the house. It was a win-win for me, because the trim on my house is black and I decorate the porch with yellow items so it was almost like it was custom made for my house. I am ordering another one of a shorter length to cover the cord as it makes a turn onto the porch. The only caveat is that I was not able to cut it into shorter lengths with scissors. However, a box cutter did cut it (though a little ragged). It was very difficult for me to cut, but then a strong young man might not have any trouble cutting it. I will probably cover the opening on the bottom with electrical tape, just to make sure the cord doesn't slip out at a later date. Horses with muddy, wet hooves have stepped on it and it retains its shape! Does it's job!
