It was a little big for a small 12 yr old but he wears it a lot, with plenty of room to grow. The material is thick and just what I expected. He was very happy with his gift.

Its rather big on him but he wears it all the time (even in the heat wave we are in) and its pretty heavy. It comes down about to his knees so hopefully he can wear it a long time. It is also pretty wide.
