I have been wearing a pair for 4 years and they look great. When I shattered my ankle two years ago, I had to wear a big, ugly black brace. I took these boots with me to the orthopedist and looked them over and said, 'the days you wear these boots, you don't have to wear the brace. Fantastic! Since then I have purchased 4 more Dog Marten boot designs and they are so fabulous to look at and for ankle suport. Don't hesitate-- buy them. Every time I wear them I have to write down the brand for admirers. I have even taken them off in public and let other women with big feet try they on. Great pruchase. You cannot go wrong with a Doc Marten boot or shoe. Npt expesive when you realize they wear for years and years and years!
