After my clothing is thoroughly dry its ready to be worn. It effectively repels insects up to five washings before I need to reapply. I used to get eaten alive by mosquitoes and noseeums. So I had to come up with a more effective strategy. This premethrin has been a godsend! One thing I really appreciate is how economical it is since a little goes a long way when diluted properly. This stuff really works... Be careful using it outside. Unfortunately, I didn't read the label and inadvertently killed beneficial insects in my flower garden, e.g., bees, wasps, butterflies, etc. Aside from that mishap, this is the best insecticide I've ever purchased or used. The formula is potent, but it works so well that I can definitely overlook the smell.
