They're not made from harmful stuff so, less worries for me. They are roomy which allows me to fill them with 2-4 times the batch of cookie dough, biscuits, muffins, produce, and pre-cooked meats for my freezer. The list is endless really. And this also means they're of great help when I do prep for parties or holidays. Although they are dishwasher safe, they clean up easily with a sponge, soap and water. This extends their life cycle by washing/drying by hand. My only complaint is that the bags may stain and/or absorb smells on the inside depending on what your storing (like chopped red bell pepper, onions, pre-cooked meats). But it says avoid store hot food in it **Q: Are these bags resistant to moths?** A: Maybe. They are heavier than throw away sandwich bags. We have only used them for cold food storage and always hand washed and air dried them. We bought a wire rack to air dry them on. Used this way they have been great.
