The product just spins and spins in the hole.** A: Obviously if the whole is bigger than the anchor, it wont work. Drill in a new spot, repair the whole first, or get even bigger anchors. **Q: What is the diameter of these at the widest point? I'd like to use a washer to protect the drywall of my mid-century walls.** A: I don’t believe you can use a washer due to that after drill the whole and insert them into Drywall the las 2 or 3 mm need to be screw in so when it’s all in the anchor will be flush with the drywall. **Q: Can i use any screw i want with these? i need to use flatheads for the bracket i want to mount. do they require screws with a specific thread to work?** A: No not at all. The head is not a problem but keep the same length and thickness. That is super important. **Q: Can these anchors be used on alumawood? I want to mount a 20lb retractable projector screen. Thanks.** A: Not a definitive answer, but I wouldn't think so. If I understand alumawood correctly, it is extruded aluminum that looks like wood. I would think a stainless steel screw is more suitable for something like that. You can use several screws to distribute the weight. Very easy to install, ultra strong, and nearly as easy to remove should the need arise. Yes, they are removable! There's a simple trick that requires a thin pick or philips screwdriver: remove the screw; then loosen (but don't remove) the anchor from the wall and rotate it so the words "EZ anchor" are at 3 o'clock; then take your thin pick/screwdriver and slide it into the central screw hole, you'll want to slide the tool against the bottom edge of the screw hole while angling the tool upwards; you'll feel a bit of resistance when the tip of your tool contacts the toggle, so just push a bit harder, the toggle will tip over and then you'll be able to fully remove the anchor. There is a YouTube video that illustrates this process very well that I can't link, just search ez anchor removal and you'll find it.
