I like being able to customize labels quickly without being tied to one device. After regular use, it’s proven to be reliable and efficient. Great option if you need a flexible, professional-quality label maker. Stars: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Review: Great Price, Works, No Battery Required! - I added the 4 year square trade warranty on this thing because often enough, I only start to see problems after the 1 year manufacture warranty expires. Having said that, the price on the warranty started at $21 and then went to $10, when it finally hit $8. I hit the buy button. I used to use a DYMO label printer. And I can safely say that this one has alot more options when printing labels, they come out better, and it spits your label out, which the DYMO does not. I feel like this is a better product, because it doesn't use a battery, and it has alot more software options for printing. You can also find numerous 1 inch label colors, and label materials. Where the DYMO was limited to a very small selection, and it cost alot more... so there you have. A official DYMO killer label maker that is around $100.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Initial WiFi setup really should be done on MS Windows, but I'll give you hints that make it easier!
*by J***A on July 8, 2025*

Yes it is challenging to set up, I'll give some tips. And I'm not sure if the margins are larger on this than in my other P touch labeler. But I'm using the largest 24mm Tze tape and the unprintable margins seem larger than I remember. OK so I took a star off because there's definitely a big setup issue and I'm pretty sure that the principal area is smaller than on the older P-touch printers. Just to clear a few things about this unit up. It does come with an AC adapter but does allow you to put in AA batteries. It does not charge AA batteries but it does have an independent lithium battery option that is rechargeable as an optional feature from Brother. I have no reason to believe that you can't put in batteries and the AC adapter and you won't risk incidental charging. Now a lot of people mentioned that if you attempt to use ad-hoc WiFi Direct mode and join the printer's Wi-Fi that the webpage is broken. That is 100% true. Even on the newest firmware, it's 100% true. So unfortunately until they fix this you have to go the long way to quickly set up Wi-Fi on this print. Fortunately I've done most of the leg work for you... OK you'll need a MS WIndows system, I know, I'm a Mac user too, but I happen to have several Window systems and you'll need a MS Windows system to prep it all if you want Wi-Fi infrastructure mode. You have to be in USB mode first and you have to set up your Windows machine with the initial "Software/Document Installer" from the Brother website. When it comes time to select what the printers connect connectivity you have to say USB. Once the full installation happens you can try a quick print if you want to verify functionality. Now go back to the brother support website and download the "firmware update tool". While you're still in USB mode extract the firmware update tool archive file contents and execute the single executable in the folder. It'll bring up an incredibly small window that simply says transfer or exit. Do you want to transfer. The actual upload occurs pretty fast. I would say it's definitely under two minutes. Once it uploads the file the printer automatically restarts and then it comes back to the transfer or exit window. You then want to click the exit button and you're done with firmware upgrades. Next comes the tricky part according to the "Printer Setting Tool" if you have the USB cable plugged in it will not offer you the Wi-Fi settings. This is actually not strictly correct. Assuming that you installed the "Software/Document Installer" then you already have the printer setting tool installed, you don't need to install it separately. I went into the printer setting tool the first time under USB and selected "none" for the sleep command as suggested by another reviewer here. I'm not going to tempt whether the device comes in and out of sleep properly. I'll likely just turn the unit on and off as I need it. The next step was that I unplugged the USB from my computer but left it plugged into the printer. I went ahead and long-pressed the wireless button at the top of the printer and turned to both NFC on and then push it again to make sure the Wi-Fi light was also on or at least blinking. When you do that it launches a Wi-Fi direct ad-hoc mode and automatically prints out a small label with the information on it. It's normally the name of your printer with some extra characters and the password should be eight zeros, 00000000. Once you're on it's wireless (and off USB) go back to your "printers and scanners" section in Windows and say "Add Printer". It will detect another PT–P750W printer! The name will only be slightly different, one has the word "printer" and the other doesn't but go ahead and install it. You now have two printers on your listing for the same device. One likely says PT – P750W and the other has the same name but with the word "printer" at the end. Now this is work got really confusing because I went into the printer setting tool but I couldn't get the wireless options to appear even though I was currently in wireless mode and currently looking at the wireless printer profile. What worked was actually putting back in the USB cable into the WIndows PC and re-launching the printer setting tool. Then even though it initially says this shouldn't work it then gave full wireless settings control even though I was going through USB. I guess as long as you have both printers installed it works, if you only have one or the other you're cut off from the full information you need! The application is a little strange and so you may have to surf around to get to your wireless section but basically you're looking for infrastructure mode and put in your correct wireless profile and credentials. As a note I've been told that one or more reviewers claimed it didn't work on a mesh network. I have a Ubiquiti Wi-Fi 5 AC 2 network in hybrid mesh mode and when I asked it to search for wireless networks it only listed one SSID for the entire network and was able to join my mesh just fine without incident! So even though the printer is a 2.4 GHz device only it has no problem navigating a hybrid SSID. Please be aware that you need to look at the light on the actual printer if it's solid green for wireless it's happy. If it's blinking that means it's trying or it's having a problem. The reason I say this is because when I went back to the printer setting tool it showed me that it had found my DHCP DNS IP setting but that I had all 0.0.0.0 for all other IP address settings! This turns out to simply be a software bug and was not actually true or accurate. The printer said it was happy so I assumed that the software was simply buggy and moved on. I was then able to find the printer on my Wi-Fi network using my iPhone and the Brother apps I was also able to get to the web portal for the IP address the printer had gotten from my Wi-Fi network. I also enabled IPv6 but not as a priority, and that properly got the settings as well. But if you go back to the printer setting tool it claims that 80% of your settings are nonexistent (empty or 0.0.0.0). So I guess this is to be ignored and trust if the printer has a green solid light for wireless that it's happy and you should just move ahead. I printed from my iPhone primarily to test the networking and I did run into a few instances where I go to print and it says it can't find the printer. But then I simply get back out of the brother application and got back in it and it works just fine. So I'm more to believe it's probably a bug in the application or in the air print then it is in the printer actually going to sleep returning off if you've properly selected no sleep in the printer setting tool. Now if you go to the new IP address of the infrastructure connected printer the webpage works! The code underneath the printer allows you to login and it actually has lots of options I didn't expect for this printer. It has options for radius authentication as well as putting in certificates. I will see that some of the information is still wrong or misleading when you go to your wireless section it gives you the impression that your settings are wrong but actually those are the default settings that you need to change if you want to change your wireless network to something else, they're not your current settings which is misleading because it shows your SSID at the top and yet says the encryption is open system and other stuff that isn't true. So whoever planned the form didn't adequately explain that the form is used to change your settings but it doesn't show your current settings properly. It has an SNTP server section but it never says what the current time actually is, but I did fill this out and it does claim to function. I did disable SNMP for obvious reasons. It does have IPP and LPR and raw port mode, again I thought this was strange there's also a vector Raster mode and a few other older printer options that you wouldn't think they would've put into something like this. But for a corporate environment it's actually pretty malleable once you unlock the wireless access and the webpage! I also disabled NetBIOS as I have a DNS infrastructure and don't need the extra chatter. Overall Amazon has the lowest price on this and for this price you really can't beat the situation. I have a much older PT-2730 that I use all the time and I had recently hooked it via USB to macOS and was printing with it. But thought to myself why can't I just have a small printer that uses the same tapes instead of lugging around my big unit. When I found this unit it seemed to fit the bill just fine and the printable area doesn't change between this and the next higher model so it doesn't really matter. This allows me to do a couple things I couldn't do before. Number one I don't have to drag out my entire labeler case to do one or two labels at home. I get to use the same Tze cartridges that I already use! So the cartridges are simply sheared between both my brother label printers, I love that! And lastly even though this model doesn't have ethernet, it's Wi-Fi only, so far seems good enough and that means I can hook it to my inventory system which is what initially got me interested in it. This is the lowest consumer model that is supported by most open source network brother printer projects for printing labels from central servers or web applications! From a longevity standpoint we will see, the unit does have an overheat mode as explained in the manual so I don't think you can keep printing with it in large stretches, it's meant for occasional printing just like their handheld units. But to me that's not an issue. The automatic cutter does work but I have not found a way to get it to stop cutting the front piece and prevent it from feeding extra before it's ready to print again. On my old brother I've been able to keep that from happening on every other print to save tape. I don't think I can do it on this printer. So do be aware that you have less control over your margins and over your widths that you have on the mobile with the small screen. I have not gone back and cleaned up the MS Windows system I used to do the setup but I think what I'm going to do is simply uninstall everything and then reinstall it again but instead of selecting USB properly select Wi-Fi mode and try to do it again fresh. Just remember that to finally get WiFi infrastructure mode to work you need to attach your windows machine to the printer's Wi-Fi direct ad hoc feature then select add printer in Windows and install that additional profile along with the USB one, initially from the software install, then as long as you have the USB cable attached you'll see all the options you need to get it on Wi-Fi and get yourself off USB in the "Printer Setting Tool".
