## Description

Bamboo ergonomic tall meditation bench designed for kneeling meditation practice (also known as Seiza). The design of this portable bench is not for sitting on like a stool, but rather to support your spine and reduce the weight on the knees, shins and ankles during kneeling meditation to achieve prolonged periods of stillness. Ergonomically designed to fit larger and/or taller body types – the seat is approximately 17.7“ (45cm) long and approximately 7.5“ (19 cm) wide. Leg height is 8.5". Ideal to meditate without shoes, with Seiza bench placed on a hard-cushioned surface, such as a mat. If your ankles are less flexible, we recommend sitting on the bench cross legged to achieve spine alignment. The hinges are made of stainless steel with magnetic closures that fold to easily carry around and store flat.

Review: Taller is better - I love this meditation bench. It's very sturdy, strong hinges that stay in place, functional for great relaxed but appropriate posture ( slant is pronounced, but feels good to me ) and it's beautiful! I'm 5' 6" but this tall bench feels better than the smaller ones for me.
Review: Unstable on carpet, better for taller people - When placed on tile, it stands up by itself. On carpet it tends to fall over (just placed there by itself) unless I put felt pads on the front of the legs: perhaps the slope is too great. And, at 5 ft.2 inches I do feel like I slide downhill to the front on it too much, but it works for my 6 ft 2 inch husband. It helped to put a non slip rubber undermat on it, cover with some padding we had and then a nice hand towel, which I safety pinned together underneath. Otherwise, it is solid and attractive construction. My favorite part of it is some nifty sunken magnetic catches that help stabilize the legs: wish they were on a smaller bench I got for myself.

I love this meditation bench. It's very sturdy, strong hinges that stay in place, functional for great relaxed but appropriate posture ( slant is pronounced, but feels good to me ) and it's beautiful! I'm 5' 6" but this tall bench feels better than the smaller ones for me.
