Works *by N***S on May 19, 2026* I've been wanting a toaster oven for simple stuff, like warming up frozen rolls, broiling an open faced sandwich, etc. Nothing fancy. Not looking to roast a chicken, bake a cake, etc. Just something for when a microwave won't do (you need crispy) and you don't want to heat up the whole kitchen by firing up a big oven (especially during the summer in Florida). This little appliance does the trick. Heats up instantly, no pre-heating. Melts the cheese on an open faced sandwich in just a couple of minutes. Has a crumb tray for easy clean up. The controls are super basic. I mostly use the toaster timer, which makes a hilariously retro ticking sound (apparently it uses an old-fashioned mechanical timer), and just watch through the glass window to see when things are done, since cook time is usually just a couple of minutes for what I'm doing. No digital displays or controls. Really basic. Which also means really inexpensive. Controls weren't immediately intuitive, but by "immediate" I mean that it took me all of a minute or two to figure out how to make the toaster oven do what I wanted. Simple. I already have a full-size oven for serious baking, so I didn't want to spend hundreds of dollars and take up a lot of counter space for a fancy appliance.
