## Overview

The Electro-Voice Evolve 50 is a 1000W powered column speaker system featuring a 12” subwoofer and eight 3.5” neodymium drivers. It offers ultra-wide 120° horizontal and 40° vertical coverage, Quick Smart DSP with presets, and wireless Bluetooth control for up to six units. Designed for professional live events, it combines portability with powerful, clear audio and intuitive setup.

## Description

The Electro-Voice EVOLVE 50 Portable Column System bundles the EVOLVE50-SB-US and the EVOLVE50-TB, which together consist of the EVOLVE50 column subwoofer in black, column array, sub pole, and carrying bag. The EVOLVE 50 Portable Column System is a three component loudspeaker system powered by a 1000 W Class-D amplifier and driven by Electro-Voice's Quick Smart DSP. The system consists of a 15 mm wooden, ported, powered subwoofer enclosure that houses a 12” subwoofer capable of a functional frequency output down to 37 Hz. The bi-directional aluminum pole’s connection to the subwoofer is secured using a magnet, and the column array is gravity-held to the sub pole. The signal is internally routed to the components. Eight 3. 5" neodymium drivers in the column array coupled with the 12" subwoofer delivers up to 127 dB SPL. The eight composite waveguides control high frequencies with 120 Degree of horizontal coverage, and 40 Degree of asymmetrical (down-facing) vertical coverage to ensure suitable output for sitting and standing audiences. The sub pole and column array come prepackaged in a carrying bag. The processing engine allows for easy setup via four presets (Music, Live, Speech, and Club), three-band EQ, five user-programmable presets (Store and Recall settings), output delay, phantom power (+15V), visual monitoring of limiter status, input level control and meters, and master volume control to ensure optimal gain structure. The new Electro-Voice Quick Smart Mobile application utilizes Bluetooth Low Energy (BTLE) technology for the wireless configuration, control, and monitoring of up to six EVOLVE 50 systems simultaneously. High resolution Bluetooth audio streaming adds convenience for wireless music playback in breakout rooms, intermission, and musical accompaniment. Bluetooth is available in select countries.

**Q: What is the long term db??**
A: May be unanswerable. Long term db would depend on the numerous power sources the equipment is plugged into, the amount of usage, the typical volume setting during operation and the environments that the equipment is used and stored in.

**Q: Can you pair two of these to each other wirelessly?**
A: No, you cannot pair two of them together wirelessly.  You can bluetooth pair your phone to one speaker and run a cable from the mix out to a seperate speaker to act as a pair.  But the speakers do not pair wirelessly there must be a wire between the two speakers unfortunately.  I wish someone would make a simple solution to wireless PA speakers, but as of right now it does not exist.  You have to use a very high quality wireless mic transmitter and receiver and instead of using a microphone as the transmitter you plug in the mixing board as transmitter and instead of the mixing board as the receiver you plug in the speaker input as receiver.  This way works, but requires lots of expensive extra components. There is no wireless speaker system on the market. A huge problem is that bluetooth has TONS of latency and would never work in a real world, live mic environment.  A bluetooth video audio speaker has the delay built in to compensate for the shortcomings of bluetooth

**Q: How about for live gigs? i play acoustic guitar, with a lot a bass frequencies,  and looping, followed by a drummer. usually with crowds of 400 to 600**
A: For a little more money, get the Bose F1 system. A set of Evolve 50s is $3100 equaling 2000 watts total. 
A set of Bose F1's is $4000 equaling 4000 watts total. Twice the power and can definitely cover 400 to 600 people. I own 4 Bose F1 systems. It's the lightest loudest portable line array system you can buy. Why pay 3k for 2k watts. Bose it's 4k for 4k watts. Way better value!
