Got this to stop the neighbors cat from entering my garden but the cat still walks on it without any issues. Useless product

Do not work for cats
The gaps are too wide and the spikes too flexible. The first thing that happened once I opened the package was to seem my cats walking on it as if on a massage mat. Money lost.

Really bad quality. The plastic is so soft and the points bend - my cat walked all over it with no problem. Useless - Returned

We have several cats in the neighborhood that use our flower beds as litter boxes. We have tried several deterrents over time, none have been effective. These mats were installed and covered with mulch. We have had no issues since. After seeing the results, we have ordered more. Because the mats are shipped rolled up the ends tend to curl, pegging them down works well.

I thought it would be convenient to just unroll them, but when I unrolled it, it didn’t want to stay unrolled, so I had to stake it, but it didn’t come with stakes.

It's kinda hard to prove that these kept raccoons and foxes from getting into the grapevines, but I would like to think they did. I would need a lot more of these to cover all the ground critters could use to access this vine but they're a little pricey to commit to without knowing. After grape harvest, I used them in a narrow bed I was prepping to keep neighborhood cats from using that bed as a litter box. That definitely worked.
