Review: Works great with Alexa and Samsung tv - I normally don’t leave reviews but this thing works great. Our new Samsung tv doesn’t allow Alexa to pause or resume. I created a scene in the Broadlink device then created a routine in Alexa and it works great. I wasn’t able to put this behind the tv successfully but I do have it about 50 feet away on top of my kitchen cabinet hidden by the cabinets trim and it works every time.
Review: Use Main Broadlink App - Little manual said use Broadlink Magic Home App or The Broadlink App. I tried the Magic Home as it should work like magic - lost several hours on it and no link up with RM5. Tried the "Broadlink" App and had it up and running in about 30 min. Forget the magic - all smoke and mirrors. Gets nicked one star for the bum Magic App.

**Q: Why can't it connect to the APP / Wi-Fi ?**
A: Broadlink RM4 mini only support 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi for configuration, does not support 5 GHz or mesh router. Please check whether the frequency in the router setting is 2.4GHz, and make sure the length of Wi-Fi password does not exceed 32 characters.

**Q: Broadlink database list doesn't have my AC model, what should I do?**
A: Sorry there is no option available for your appliance. Please choose “Learn remote" to create a remote, tap the buttons on the original remote to let the RM4 mini learn the commands. Then you will be able to control the appliance after learning.

**Q: Is my appliance compatible with the RM4mini?**
A: RM4mini supports IR 38KHz control devices, does not support Bluetooth or RF. Please check the manual of your appliance or consult the manufacturer to confirm.

**Q: How to tell if my remote is infrared or Bluetooth**
A: 1) Infrared remote has an infrared emitter (crystal head) on the top of itself, you need to point the emitter at the device when use it; 2) Bluetooth remote does not have an infrared emitter, and it usually needs to be matched before first use.

**Q: It can't control my IR device stably, what should I do?**
A: The IR signal can't go through the wall, please check and make sure the device is close to your appliance and there is no obstacle in between.

If I could give zero stars I would. First it only works with 2.4mhz & 5mhz wifi. Then NONE of the QR codes worked in app. I was able to manually find & start the set up, and the app could see the smart remote, but it kept timing out when trying to connect to the router. I even sat in the same room next to the router & it couldn't communicate. There is little to no actual help in troubleshooting & I emailed the seller & got no response. I will be returning this product. Don't waste your money or time!
