All is good now and the Plus models are much improved. **Q: Does this model have the spring grip that is described as defective?** A: Both of my stands have “spring grip” and I’ve never had a problem with mine. **Q: I bought one from guitar center, and it has the hercules box which is tightly packed. Just making sure same box they use.
