In the vehicles that I need to be very reliable I use the expensive Walmart Fram Filters. In my around town vehicles I use the cheap fram filters. I have had no problem with any of them. You will enjoy the Royal Purple. Just make sure it shows up on the oil dip stick. My Ford F150 used 9 quarts the 1st time. Not the typical 6 quarts. Now it uses a little over 7 quarts. **Q: What is the shelf life of this oil** A: This oil is synthetic. It will not break down or become contaminated like traditional oils may. That said, only buy what you think you'll use in the next 60 months. If you buy this 5 gallon model, consider how many other vehicles can benefit from it. I have two cars, both of them use 5-20.
