The single reason I bought this product is based on my extensive research of available scientific data : trying to find a calcium supplement , that would minimize the risk for cardiovascular disease/plaque formation which is a risk factor with calcium supplements The research has demonstrated , calcium supplements do contribute and do cause cardiovascular heart disease via plaque formation while calcium in dairy products does not (Unfortunately, dairy products do contribute to general inflammation). Vitamin K2 prevents plaque formation and even dissolves already formed plaque in arteries based on existing scientific data , thus preventing risk of heart disease. This product also has most other essential components for calcium utilization such as vitamin C, vitamin D3, Magnesium thus do not have to take them separately, therefore, making it almost all in one product.
