GARDENA 36826 | 5/8" Faucet End Hose Repair Quick Connector + Water Stop

Hose was completely fine except for the broken coupling. This works well to replace the coupling. Note you will need the other connector piece for the spigot. I didn’t realize and had to order that next.

The item is constructed very heavy duty. I inserted the hose and found there was leaking, not knowing there is a little nib inside my particular hose. I managed to shaved off the little nib inside with a wood carving knife to make sure it was smooth inside. There was a leak after I done that as well, no matter how tight I have it, it leaks!! Can't return it because I used a plie trying to tight it further, it is made of plastic. I even tried on a different make hose with no inside nib, it is the same, small leak that makes you feel uncomfortable. May be their metal counterpart is better but cannot be sure. I gave a four star because it really looks good and nice to hold on.

Good product. Be aware that there is a tap end repair connector and an accessory end connector that includes water stop feature. Only the accessory end connector includes water stop. 36826 → Tap End Repair Connector (for the faucet side). 32914 → Accessory/Hose End Repair Connector with Water Stop (for the tool/nozzle side).

I used it to connect two hoses with one of the horses without any threads at one end. Works perfectly and so far no leaks at the connecting point.

This repair connector does not come with the proprietary adapter that is required to connect it to the garden faucet. The illustration and instructions, both show the connector but it’s not a part of the package. This is completely misleading. You must purchase adapters as a set for another $15-28 and throw away the rest of the adapters if you only need 1. That brings the cost of repair to the price of a brand new hose. Would it kill them to throw one in the package so people aren’t frustrated? Or at least state clearly in the instructions that the required connector is not included and must be purchased separately.

Be warned! You have to buy the Gardena adaptor for your spigot which is not included with this, even though it is pictured. If you have the adapter, the product seems to work well.

Great idea, I didn't even know this was an option and almost tossed my hose. My only thing is make sure you purchase the correct part. I have now spent double the money because I rushed and ordered the wrong end (male). There is no repair kit for the female end. 3 Amazon orders later 😐 and hope to have my garden hose fixed.

With two (2) long hoses at the front and rear of my home, with time and age, it will have to be replaced. It has been so long ago since I last replaced. I always purchase two (2)
