hanging in there so far
a little smaller than i expected but i was looking for small anyway. i used these to make a lateral pull-down sytem in my garage to work the back until im strong enough to do some pull-ups. also makes for some nice tricep workouts. the u channel fits the 1/4" pulley cable perfectly and the movement is super smooth. Now its just a matter of how long they'll last.

Perfect for Stainless Steel Wire Cable
2 Worked perfectly welded to 1 1/2" square tube for my 1 man Deer lift/hanger that mounts to a tree and is portable.Use a 2 way cable winch for a boat trailer.

Functional but loose tolerance pulley
The good: the inner race of the bearing sits proud of the wheel, so it can be bolted tightly in its support bracket and spin freely. For this reason โThe Badโ doesnโt matter that much that the bolt provided is under sized and all thread. However I did discard that bolt and bought 1/4โ bolts with unthreaded shoulder through the bearing. To use this I also had to drill out the support bracket to 1/4โ. I used 2 pairs of these bearings in a block and tackle arrangement and the inner races clamp up nicely together and pulleys turn freely. The other โbadโ is the loose tolerance within the pulley itself with the ball bearings. Unloaded it feels a bit loose, however under load it turns smoothly without any wobble.

The little pulley that could.
This pulley has held up after frequent use lifting heavy loads. And hasn't rusted at all in over a year.

Hubby remodeled his deer stand
Hubby has bought 2 Redneck Deerstands. He thought the pull string for the raising the windows made too much noise, so he added these pulleys, which made it almost completely silent. He also added foam floor blocks to the flooring for the same reason. Yes, heโs crazy, but our deerstands are awesome. ๐ Our daughter got her first deer (8 pt), sooooโฆ

Sloppy design
The bearing in the pulley hub is a nice feature. But the screw they provide (i.e. the axle for the bearing) is a loose, sloppy fit to the bearing's inner race. Not well designed. Probably adequate for something light duty. like a clothesline.
