Review: Great small closet solution! - This ironing board was perfect for our recent closet glow up. We have a narrow closet with two doors and a wall-mounted shoe organizer between them, and this mounted perfectly to the side of the shoe cabinet. When folded up, it doesn't stick out from the wall very far, and it's extremely easy to unfold and put away. I actually preferred this design to models where the ironing board itself folds in half. Those may take up less wall surface area, but they protrude farther and seemed less stable during use. The ironing surface is of course smaller than a standard freestanding board, but for us that's a worthwhile tradeoff. We'd much rather have a compact board that's always ready to use than deal with storing and setting up a full-size board in this closet. We did purchase separate mounting hardware, but only because we were attaching it to an IKEA PAX cabinet rather than drywall or wall studs. Overall, this worked exactly as hoped and has been a great space-saving solution.

A: 41 1/2 inches

A: Between 1 and 2 inches

**Q: Why does this product have a Prop 65 warning??**
A: That's probably a California requirement, possibly because it could in theory fall on you if you are hovering underneath where it unfolds to.(Ours is on the wall nest to the dryer- if a child is lying down on top of the dryer and release the clasp holding it up, the ironing board could come down on him.her.) Just guessing.

**Q: Does it glad to be wall mounted or will command wall hanging strips work?**
A: The ironing board needs to be wall mounted. My husband mounted it, and says he does not think command wall hanging strips will be strong enough to hold it in place, particularly when actually ironing.  I will say, however, that this is a very handy item to have.   I have it hanging in my walk-in closet, and it is very useful. I would buy it again in a heartbeat.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Excellent buy for the money

This is exactly as advertised. Works very well. Two minor negative comments: It comes with 4 LARGE molly bolts, that extend well past the inside surface of the drywall. If you use them on an outside wall, they will puncture the vapor barrier on the insulation. Hot a good idea in a laundry area. Use regular drywall anchors instead, since they will handle far more than the required weight. (The ironing board did NOT come with screws for fastening into studs.) There is a brace on the bottom of the board, that is angled up from the bottom of the wall bracket. That requires installing the ironing board assembly several inches higher than the top of a washer or dryer (if that's where you are installing it) than I would have liked.
