Product description How to Replace a Mini Light Bulb Step 1 Keep the set unplugged at first. Take out the broken light with its base, keep the base and remove the broken light bulb. Step 2 Before putting the replacement bulb into the base, please straighten the 2 wires which correspond to the 2 holes of the base. Step 3 Spread the wires and go down the sides, try to keep them centered left and right that help make a cleaner and nice contact in the set. DO NOT let the 2 wires touch or it may cause a short circuit and burn your lights! Step 4 Reinsert the light and make sure it’s pushed in completely. Plug the set back in to see if you are successful. Warm Note Double check the wattage (or amperes) required for your light set to see if it fits these light bulbs before purchasing. These replacement bulbs are designed without being tapered slotted or pinched at the bulbs' bottoms, 2 wires only. To avoid short circuit, never let the 2 wires touch. Keep away from children and store them carefully.

They come in a handy plastic case. Do double-check the tag on your light string to see that the volts and watts match. Exactly what I need, none broken, I used 193 of the 200 and all of them worked. These are a touch brighter than the old ones that remain functional on the tree, but blended them in a bit and you can't tell.
