My ae2 replaced my apple earbuds 2nd and my studios. I recommend if you have iphone 5 if not then try other phones that hAve it optimized **Q: Is there any benefits to getting this over the AE2i?** A: The headphones are identical except for the cord with the volume controls and mic for Apple products. If you're unsure if you need the AE2i you can always just buy the AE2 and save yourself $30.
